Frequently asked questions

How big are Maui Nata’s tarts?

Each tart are about 2-3 bites each. They’re the perfect size for special occasions, breakfast and dessert. Don’t worry…that means you can enjoy a little more without feeling guilty!

Why frozen?

This is something we have been experimenting for quite some time. Our tarts contain lots of fragile, buttery layers and when handled fresh it falls apart and makes us very sad. We discovered that handling our tarts frozen allows for safer travel with minimum breakage. Frozen tarts along with our packaging means that you can enjoy Maui Nata’s tarts without flying to Maui. Also, you can enjoy your tarts at a later time if you wish.

How do I bake my frozen tarts?

Frozen tarts can be reheated in an oven or air fryer. There’s no need to thaw, you can bake the tarts straight from the freezer. Preheat oven/air fryer to 400ºF. Place tarts on a sheet pan and bake for about 10-15 minutes or till crispy. Be careful! The tarts will be very hot, please let them cool for at least 5 minutes. Sprinkle some powdered sugar, cinnamon, cocoa powder…whatever your heart desires on top and enjoy!

Can I heat my tarts in a microwave?

Never ever use a microwave, the tarts may explode! That can be dangerous and no one wants to clean up a mess!

How should I store my frozen tarts?

Frozen tarts can be stored in the freezer in the box provided or in an air-tight container or zip bag.

What's the shelf life of your tarts?

We recommend consuming your tarts within 3 months of purchase for ultimate freshness. Freezing can help extend the shelf-life as we do not use any preservatives. Let’s be honest, we think you will be eating them before then.

What allergens are in your tarts?

All of our flavors contains dairy, wheat and egg products. Few of our flavors does contain nuts, which will be noted in the item’s description. Maui Nata uses a bakery that comes into contact with nut and other common allergen products. For more details on ingredients in our tarts, please visit our Nutrition page.

Do you offer shipping to the mainland?
